Base protector for Safe Place Bed

This is a machine washable and waterproof mattress protector which fits the base of the Safe Place Bed.

Because I am picky:
I’ve taken a dinosaur and a rainbow mattress protector out of stock and I poured 500ml of water on each, waited two minutes and examined the back of each protector to confirm it's waterproof.
 
I then washed them at 95C and tumble dried them on a cotton (hot) setting. The colours did not fade  and they came out nicely. In reality you probably won't wash as hot as this but it's nice to know that you can.
 
Finally, I poured a glass of water on each of the washed mattress protectors to confirm they are waterproof after washing. They were. 
 
Finally:
I gave a lot of thought to putting fasteners on the mattress protector that would absolutely keep it in place. I decided against this because:
1. I think velcro would get gunged up very quickly and stop working, and 2, I think even the best fitted poppers in the world could potentially detach and cause a choking hazard.
